The laptop is on the 'slow' track so far as updates are concerned,with updates set to automatic.While writing this, another thought has occurred to me. For legacy reasons I need to run Office 2007 and as I wanted to check out some VBA code in Access databases, I installed the enterprise edition of Office 2007 to do those checks for compatibility withWin10. Is it possible that the office installation has provoked this?Happy to run any checks if you want me to.
My plan is to wipe the installation and make sure I reinstall the latest Pro version for evaluation. This laptop had W8.1 installed, so it is a qualifying machine.I'll wait to hear from you in case there is anything you want me to check that would help, but if not, I'll wipe the install and start again with the latest build.UPDATE: Just checked again the download available from the Microsoft site as of today (24 March) is still the same as the one I used, for X64, build 9926.
